    Role Summary

     

    • As the document controller the primary responsibility is to control, review and release documentation, such as reports, drawings and specifications.
    • To Log (manually and electronically) copies and distribute various engineering documents and drawings. Maintain archiving/storage of all documentation.
    • As part of this role there will be responsibility for the raising and administration of requisitions on the procurement system.

     

    Experience

     

    • Co-ordinate document/drawing routing and distribution activities to assure that the latest effective copies are available as required.
    • Assist colleagues from other areas by promptly retrieving and providing the required documentation or information requested to complete investigations and/or reports.
    • The control, distribution, filing and archiving of documents on site in accordance with standards and procedures.
    • Log, track and prepare reports for all RFIs and Submittals throughout the project
    • Log, track and prepare reports for all snag items throughout the project.
    • Prepare drawings updated throughout the project for final handover to the engineering document control centre.

     


     

    Education & Qualifications Required

     

    • A document controller must have an understanding of the current archiving system and methodology and the electronic document managing system.
    • Must be highly organized and disciplined and be able to demonstrate their ability to meet deadlines with acute attention to detail.
    • Knowledge of Ariba or similar procurement system is preferred.
    • Be a self-starter with demonstrated efficient work methods, analytical & problem-solving skills.
    • Have an ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
    • Be Capable of working as part of a multi-disciplined team.
