  • Instrumentation and Design Engineer – Rotterdam

    Role Summary:


    • A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an Instrumentation and Design Engineer for projects throughout the globe to service our client’s continued growth in the Oil & Gas and Industrial & Infrastructure sectors.
    • Seeking energetic professionals who are flexible to travel.
    • The Instrumentation & Automation Design Engineer reports directly to the Head of Design and Engineering.


    Core Duties and Responsibilities:


    • Skills managing multiple vendors for the duration of the project, up to construction and pre-commissioning.
    • Clear understanding of Distributed Control Systems (DCS).
    • Review the documents and calculations.
    • Review the material and equipment take-offs.
    • Review the required calculations.
    • Performing vendor document and Instrument equipment reviews.
    • Review the material and equipment schedules and datasheets, specifications for equipment and materials.
    • Review specification for Package units and Installation contracts.
    • Instructs, follows up and coordinates the design and engineering activities.
    • Prepares studies related to his discipline.
    • Assists to safety studies.
    • Collaborates in the preparation of proposals / procurement.
    • Attends regular meetings with customer and subcontractors.
    • Follows up on scheduled Field activities.
    • Pro-actively identifies customer Field requirement needs.
    • Reports to and consults with the Lead Engineer.
    • Review and Approves:
      • Instrument datasheets, instrument calculations, instrument requisitions, scope of work subcontract, control and safeguarding system specification, auxiliary systems.
      • Support   other   in-house   departments   including   project   management, Instrumentation engineering, procurement, and project scheduling.
      • Understand HSE Policies, Procedures, Guidelines.


    Education & Qualifications Required:


    • BSc or MSc diploma in Instrumentation engineering or equivalent required.
    • Fluent English language skills
    • Must have engineering construction site experience.
