  • Process Safety Engineer – Kildare

     Role Purpose:

     

    • The role purpose will be to drive processes on site in a manner that ensures plant and process safety, ensuring the necessary control mechanisms in place.

     

    Duties:

     

    • Propose, develop and implement improvements and modifications from a Process Safety perspective throughout the plant.
    • Provide leadership and guidance to key stakeholders on Process Safety related topics.
    • Chair and document PHAs with cross functional teams.
    • Ensure ATEX assessments are complete with current HACs in place.
    • Coordinate and interpret Process Safety test data & reports.
    • Lead PSM audits and gap analysis and be the regulatory point of contact for all Process Safety related topics.
    • Develop and enhance the basis of safety for Production Operations.
    • Develop the Process Safety Management System locally and support at a Corporate level where required.
    • Share learnings with other sites and participate in cross functional projects and initiatives.
    • Perform incident management activities including investigations (RCA’s).
    • Coordinate and / or deliver relevant Process Safety training.
    • Review plans and specifications for new equipment and participate in the management of change assessments.
    • Assist in delivering EHS programmes as required.
    • Full training on all the responsibilities of this role will be provided.

    Education & Qualifications Required:

     

    • Primary Degree in Engineering e.g. Chemical / Mechanical Engineering or other related discipline.
    • Formal qualification in Process Safety.
    • 7-10 years’ experience working in a Process Safety role, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
    • Highly organised and capable of working on own initiative.
    • Good interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate and interact across all levels within the organisation.
    • Excellent attention to detail.
    • Strong analytical and engineering skills.
    • Good influential skills.
    • Excellent report compiling and writing skills.
    • Mindset of continuous improvement
