Role Summary:

  • An exciting opportunity exists for a Senior Technology Transfer Manager to join our client’s pharmaceutical site based in Co. Dublin.
  • This role is responsible for overseeing teams and processes involved in converting raw materials and components into finished goods.
  • This role ensures the implementation of strategies that align with long-term business objectives and global corporate goals.
  • By leading multiple teams and ensuring appropriate talent selection, this role contributes to the success of manufacturing operations.T

Core Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage multiple teams involved in supporting and developing manufacturing processes (PhD chemists, Process Validation and Data Science)
  • Lead a team PhD Chemists and development laboratory to enhance manufacturing efficiency and quality
  • Establish and implement long-term strategies for manufacturing operations
  • Ensure successful Technical Transfer of new products to the Grange Castle site. Collaborate effectively with Global Teams (Pharmaceutical Sciences and Manufacturing Sciences)
  • Solve complex problems in manufacturing settings, providing innovative solutions
  • Work with Head of Finance to identify annual opportunities for R&D Tax credits
  • Ensure compliance with Global Validation standards
  • Enhance and innovate Data Science – develop use of computational modelling to ensure right first time technical transfer. Develop use of AI and other tools to predict
  • Process Validation – lead and develop team of validation SMEs, ensure compliance with regulatory standards and maintain validated state of site manufacturing processes

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

  • Masters or PhD degree in a scientific discipline highly desired.
  • > 8 years industry experience desired, incl. management experience
  • Demonstrates strong leadership skills, capable of guiding and inspiring teams
  • Experienced in managing teams, fostering collaboration and effective delegation
  • Utilizes continuous improvement methodologies to enhance manufacturing efficiency and quality
  • Ensures rigorous quality assurance and integrates safety protocols to uphold standards
  • Proficient in manufacturing engineering principles and practices
  • Communicates effectively with peers and customers, ensuring clear and consistent messaging
  • Solves complex problems in manufacturing settings, providing innovative solutions
