Objectives: Develop Basis of Design to debottleneck manufacturing in an existing API Facility Design and build a new Production Building
Our client needed an assessment of the options to optimise its plant configuration to allow manufacture of two products at their Irish API site.
Prochem evaluated a number of alternative solutions and it was agreed, in consultation with client stakeholders, that the optimum solution was to dedicate the existing facilities to one product and build a new stand alone building for the other – with easy enabling of changes in future to accommodate both products (if necessary) and increase volume production.
Prochem then completed the basis of design for the new building – a purpose built facility to perform reaction, crystallisation, filtration, drying, sieving, and packing off with associated equipment and ancillaries.
