Objectives: Deliver a modern functional production laboratory complete with Blending & Sensory Room
Our Client had a requirement for a new production laboratory at their distillery site. Best available technology was used to deliver a 250sq.m laboratory. The project included a sensory room where sight, smell and taste are used to assess the whiskey to develop new blends and ensure quality control.
Prochem Engineering acted as the Process, Mechanical and Electrical designers for this project. The project was delivered from conception, through basis of design and capital cost estimates to tender and construction. Design and construction were both completed within budget and time frames allowed.
The scope included lab gases, waste removal systems, Nederman Arm, Fume Hood, Smart LED Lighting and energy efficient MVHR system. A Hazop was also carried out by Prochem as part of the scope of works.
