Role Purpose:

  • We have an immediate requirement for an Electrical Engineer for an 18-month contract.
  • The position offers an ideal opportunity for the right candidate to develop their career within a well-known medical device manufacturer.

Core Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Design, implementation and handover of multi-disciplinary engineering projects; focusing on electrical requirements
  • Co-ordinate electrical element on multiple projects on various production sites for the duration of projects.
  • Implement and adhere to company project management procedures and SOPs to deliver projects.
  • Verification, commissioning and handover of engineering systems to end users.
  • Work as part of a wider project team and assist in the delivery of key projects.
  • Provide technical support to production sites particularly on electrical requirements.
  • Support installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of electrical systems and manufacturing equipment
  • Implement & maintain LOTO procedures to ensure safe isolation of electrical energy sources
  • Assist with electrical risk assessments and safety documentation
  • Support equipment upgrades, validation, and commissioning activities

Education & Qualifications Required:

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering with a Minimum of 3 years work experience in an Electrical Engineer role
  • Trade qualification with prior experience as an Electrical supervisor in a medical device or Pharmaceutical manufacturing site.
  • AutoCAD skills.
  • Strong knowledge of Health & Safety requirements and legislation.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Demonstrated experience implementing or maintaining LOTO (Lock out Tag out)
  • Proven experience of strong organisational skills.
