Role Summary:

  • We have an immediate requirement for a Lead Building Services Engineer to work as part of an established design team in our Cork Office.
  • To manage activity planning, work scheduling, assigning responsibilities to the team, and ensuring deliverables can be met.

Core Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Leading the design of a range of HVAC and utilities projects, liaising with the client users, other disciplines, contractors, etc.
  • Lead the design from concept to handover.
  • Ensuring all project designs are compliant with latest health & safety regulations.
  • Participate in all phases of projects, from Engineering to the Procurement and Construction.
  • Assist with tender and contract documentation including specifications, bills of quantities and ensuring projects are delivered within budget and timescales.
  • Generation of P&ID’s and other design drawings and documents.
  • Presenting and leading 3-D model reviews with client teams and other stakeholders.
  • Preparation of tender documents and reports.
  • Construction and commissioning support.
  • Construction cost estimating and cost control.
  • Liaise with relevant stakeholders in project implementation to achieve project and company goals.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum requirement is an Honours Degree in Engineering – preferably Building Services or Mechanical.
  • Six years’ experience (minimum) in a similar role.
  • Pharmaceutical design office experience.
  • Experience and knowledge of Revit and IES software is essential.
  • Design Co-ordination experience across disciplines.
  • Experience with project cost control.
  • Candidates will be required to demonstrate the ability to work on their own initiative.
  • The ability to communicate effectively with people both orally and in writing.
  • The candidate must have good interpersonal skills and exemplary attention to detail.
