Role Summary:

A leading global manufacturing client, based in County Dublin, is looking for an exceptional engineer to join their high-performing team. This is your chance to manage complex, multi-site projects involving state of the art process plant and packaging equipment. Core Duties and Responsibilities:

  • As a key member of the Engineering team, you will be the driving force behind critical installations and upgrades across Dublin facilities. Your mission will include:
  • Taking full control of assigned capital projects, ensuring smooth development, commissioning, and handover into sustained operations.
  • Preparing User Requirement Specifications (URS), scoping documents, and collaborating with cross-functional SMEs and design consultants.
  • Coordinating Design Risk and HAZOP assessments to maintain the highest safety and design standards.
  • Developing comprehensive project budgets, preparing capital requests, managing the RFT/RFQ phase, and rigorously tracking project schedules and spend.
  • Safely managing and directing external contractors during the construction and installation phases.
  • Creating and delivering detailed operational and maintenance manuals, ensuring a seamless transition for the sustaining operations team.

 


Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

  • A Degree in Mechanical, Process, or Electrical Engineering.
  • Proven Experience: A minimum of 4 years of direct experience in successful project management, specifically within a manufacturing setting.
  • Industry Context: Experience working in a live production and chemical/process environment is essential.
  • Leadership Under Pressure: A demonstrated ability to lead, maintain a clear head under pressure, and drive projects forward independently.
  • Strategic Problem Solving: A logical and systematic approach to complex problem-solving and solution development.
  • Communication & Influence: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to prepare and confidently present project proposals to the management team.
