Role Summary:

  • The below is an exciting position for a candidate seeking to expand their experience within a biopharmaceutical site.
  • The Quality Control Technician is responsible for supporting laboratory testing, quality systems, and compliance activities to ensure products meet regulatory and quality standards. The role contributes to safe, efficient manufacturing and release processes through adherence to GMP, data integrity principles, and continuous improvement practices.

Core Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform all activities in compliance with cGMP/GDP requirements and data integrity (ALCOA) principles
  • Conduct laboratory testing, material inspections, and analytical activities to verify specification compliance
  • Support quality systems and processes, ensuring procedures are followed and maintained
  • Review and manage batch records, material documentation, and GMP-related documents
  • Support and/or execute deviations, CAPAs, investigations, validation, and risk management activities
  • Identify, escalate, and help resolve quality and compliance issues
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support manufacturing, testing, and product release
  • Maintain a safe, compliant laboratory environment and adhere to safety standards
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and operational efficiency
  • Assist in audits and inspections and ensure readiness
  • Provide training and technical support to team members where required
  • Provide technical guidance, analyse performance metrics, and resolve more complex quality issues

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in a science-related discipline (preferred)
  • Experience in GMP and regulatory requirements
  • Laboratory testing techniques
  • Quality systems and documentation
  • Strong Attention to detail
  • Strong Problem-solving skills
  • Strong Communication and teamwork
  • Ability to work in a regulated environment
  • Manage documentation and compliance tasks
  • Support cross-functional operations
