Senior Project Engineer

Role Purpose:

• An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Project Manager to join our client’s facility in Co. Cork.
• The successful candidate will be joining a fast-paced engineering team working across multiple company Divisions. They will have the opportunity to develop through both internal and external training programs and will be given the opportunity to grow their career in a dynamic production environment.
• This is a 23-months contract position, based on site.

Core Duties and Responsibilities:

• Support process development and cost reduction activities within the business units.
• Foster a work environment of continuous improvement that supports the company’s commitment to the Quality Policy, Quality System, and the appropriate regulations for the manufacturing environment.
• Ownership of the plant metrics from an engineering perspective.
• Provide technical and operational support to manufacturing operations.
• Leverage structured problem-solving methodologies.
• Engage in the implementation of lean manufacture within manufacturing.

Education & Qualifications Required:

• Level 8 Honours Degree in an Engineering discipline.
• 2+ years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience within the following fields is preferable but not essential, CNC machining, Process Validation, Coating or Clean and Pack.
• Confident and effective decision maker, with a proven leadership ability to negotiate and influence others.
• Strong communication and influencing skills with both internal and external stakeholders.
• The ability to work effectively within a cross functional team.
• Proven Project Management skills through the delivery of cost saving/process improvement projects.
• Demonstrable analytical & problem-solving skills resulting in tangible results to the business.
