Role Purpose:

  • We have an immediate requirement for a Project Engineer to join our established engineering design team in Kilkenny.

Core Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Reporting directly to the Department Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for working on numerous projects at the same time.
  • Ensuring all project designs are compliant with latest health & safety regulations.
  • Partake in the creation of accurate designs which conform to all codes of practice and industry standards.
  • Support the Engineering Department in the delivery of designs.
  • Participate in all phases of projects, from Engineering to the Procurement and Construction.
  • Liaise with relevant stakeholders in project implementation to achieve project and company goals.
  • Prepare and present project reports.
  • Assist with tender and contract documentation including specifications, bills of quantities and ensuring projects are delivered within budget and timescales.
  • Responsible for liaising with clients, Architects and Project Managers to verify that projects are following required schedules and budgets.
  • Update and maintain project specifications and drawings.
  • Ensure adherence to the company Safety Management System and Quality Assurance requirements.
  • To provide technical expertise to all Engineering activity.

 

Education & Qualifications Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Electrical/Chemical/Process/Mechanical/Automation or other relevant discipline).
  • Minimum 5 plus years relevant experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office Applications, Revit & AutoCAD is preferable.
  • Experience using Microsoft Projects would be highly advantageous.
  • Good time management skills with the ability to commit to and work to deadlines.
  • Safety Pass Training/ other relevant safety training is desirable but not essential.
  • Pharmaceutical industry experience is desirable but not essential.
