Prochem Engineering operates in sectors which are heavily regulated by external agencies eg FDA, HPRA, and also where the ethics and standards proposed by the various professional engineering membership organisations are extremely important.
The Prochem approach has always been proactive in this regard, believing that as a participant in the industry, we have a duty to be involved in its governance, and also in the development of the next generation of talent for the sector.
To that end, over the years the directors of Prochem have been centrally involved in the development of the ISPE Ireland Affiliate, and have forged strong links with local and national academic institutions, ranging from collaboration on specific technical projects to commercial interaction.
We have been extremely active members of specific technical groups e.g. DIERS, RoSPA, extending as far as input to standards preparation and review on occasions.
This approach enables Prochem to foster and maintain a culture of Continuous Improvement among staff and contractors within the company, bounded within the normal quality considerations for the sector. When combined with open and honest communication and an environment where learning and personal development is encouraged, personnel remain motivated and higher quality outcomes are achieved.
